The parent line
What a parent can count on
Six things Caitlin says to every family before the first visit.
From age 13
Caitlin sees teens aged 13 and up. If your child is younger, call first and talk it over with her.
A parent or guardian stays
For a first facial, an adult from home is in the room from the first question to the last, and signs the booking.
Your teen says what is comfortable
Caitlin asks before each step. Your teen can say stop at any time, and she stops.
Nothing is a surprise
She tells both of you what she will do, in plain words, before she does it.
No one is asked to buy
If Caitlin names a product for the routine, she can tell you every ingredient in it. Leaving without it is fine.
When she suggests a doctor
If skin is sore, swollen or changing in a way that worries you, she says so and suggests a dermatologist or your doctor.
In the room
A parent stays, and so does your teen's say
A first facial can feel like a lot. So Caitlin keeps it plain: she talks first, names each step and checks in. You are there to hear all of it, and your teen is the one who says yes or stop.
How she checks in
She asks your teen before she begins
She names each step before she does it
She checks in during the facial
She stops when your teen says stop

When to see a doctor
We'll suggest a dermatologist or your doctor when
A facial can't do everything, and Caitlin would rather say so than keep booking you.
Skin is sore, hot or swollen
She will ask you to see a doctor before booking again.
A mark or spot is changing
Anything that grows, bleeds or changes color goes to a doctor, not a facial.
Breakouts that are deep or painful
These sit deeper than a facial reaches, so she suggests someone who can look properly.
Skin changed suddenly
Especially alongside other changes in how your teen feels, or after a new medicine.
Book a first facial
A parent or guardian can choose a time on Caitlin's booking page, or send a question first.
